Throughout his extensive and diverse acting career, Daniel Ryan has appeared in many well-known theatrical and television productions.

He was encouraged to pursue acting by a drama teacher and eventually was accepted into the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. After graduation, he joined the esteemed Royal Shakespeare Company and starred in plays like A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Fallout, and Posh.

Last year, Dan gave a captivating performance in Middle at the National Theatre, alongside Claire Rushbrook, to the standing ovations of audiences each night.

His list of TV credits is extensive and includes Bob and Rose, Heartbeat, Skins, New Tricks, Doctor Who, and the BBC sitcom As Time Goes By with Judi Dench and Geoffrey Palmer.

His character Dan in the Sky Living comedy-drama Mount Pleasant made him quite famous. Daniel’s roles in Litvinenko, Crossfire, Four Lives, Innocent, Vera, and Death in Paradise have also gained him even more recognition.

Since 2019, he has been seen in ITV1’s acclaimed drama, The Bay, playing the role of DI Tony Manning.

Dan is currently starring in ITV’s new dark comic thriller, ‘Passenger‘ as Derek Jackson. And, ITV have confirmed that The Bay will return for another series. 

Additionally, Daniel is an accomplished voiceover artist whose distinct voice has been featured in programs such as  Inside Iceland: Britain’s Budget Supermarket.
